SBI wrote off bad loans worth over ₹20,000 crore




In 2016-17, SBI , India's largest lender wrote off bad loans worth ₹20,339 crore. Among all the state-owned banks this one was highest. All the public sector banks wrote off ₹81,683 crore during the fiscal. This one is a three-fold jump in 5 years.
